about the hanover pack
there is darkness within the hearts of every living creature. whether that darkness takes hold of your heart and influences your everyday decisions depends on how strong your heart is. those weak of heart give into the darkness too easily. those strong of heart can either keep it at bay or control it to their advantage. this is the hanover pack, the group of canines who are trained to control that darkness, to let it fester and grow, and to use it against their enemies.
the wolf in charge, a Timber Wolf from Chernobyl by the name of Sebastian, wants a pack that is strong both physically and mentally. To achieve this, that means snuffing out the light, harsh training, and, ultimately, being able to trust one another. the methods used for this are not for the light of heart, and those who cannot handle the treatment within the pack until they earn themselves a ranking position are often exiled and killed on site if they show their face to the pack ever again.
within the pack, there are two years of training since the moment you join or are weened from your mother's milk. this training can make or break a wolf. for those who are born into the pack, it starts off soft until you reach adolescence, and then you receive the training given to adult wolves. for those joining the pack, it starts off with adult training from day one. this training is everything from survival skills, hunting, teamwork, fighting, etc. there is even a three month period where you are only allowed a small amount of food once a day. After training is over, a wolf will be given a rank within the pack. They will be given more food, more respect, and become a true part of the 'family'.
while primarily made up of wolves, hanover does allow domestic dogs within their pack. these dogs are treated as lower class unless they can prove themselves. after their training, they always get the lowest rank available until the alpha decides they can rank up.
PLEASE NOTE that Hanover has only been around since fall of 2044 when Sebastian came to London. due to this, older wolves (3+) joining the pack may be able to skip most of the training and land a rank quickly.
